The Taurus may be the copycat, but neither one looks good.

The RX7 came first, so technically the Taurus bears a strong resemblance to the FD.

I think the rear end looks great on the RX7. The Taurus looks like an Alibaba rip-off of the rear end on the FD, and therefore looks not great in comparison.

Certainly Mazda wasted a trip in the time machine to steal a 1997 design for their 1993 car

Just because Mazda did it first doesn’t mean it isn’t ugly.

I quite like the FD.

That’s my headline.

It’s a beautiful car, as long as you don’t look at its butt.

This is true, but the rear of the RX-7 doesn’t look a whole lot better than the Taurus. It’d look so much better without that tacky plastic bridge between the lights.

It’s still prettier than a Skyline or Supra, though.

I still love the Mazda’s rear, and hate the Taurus’.

It’s not just about one specific part, but more about how it flows with the rest of the car. We can agree to disagree.

WRONG

SHITPOST

The Taurus is disgusting but the RX carries it well. It helps that the whole car is shaped better, but the circle lights make it look better too. It’s very 90s and it’s dope.

I think it would be perfect without the bridge between the lights. That one piece is just too much.

I suppose you dislike the R34 because of the Impala?

Hahaha. Fair point.

I don’t think that rear end treatment looks as bad as this one, though it definitely isn’t my favorite part of the R34 and it’s easily the tackiest part of that Impala.
